I've passed along this to Matt already and now I'll do the same to you. I'm so sorry for your loss. You know that if you or any of the rest of your family needs anything, you just have to say the word.
I can honestly say that Thanksgiving just won't be the same without Betty. One of my favorite memories of her will always be from that Thanksgiving before you and Lisa were married when Betty asked almost giddily, "Have you met Mark's new love? He's in love." It makes me smile and chuckle to this very day.
Yes, a very nice tribute. Thanks for it Mark, and for your thoughtful comments, Pete.
Mark, do you know when the picture was taken?
I'm missing her more than I thought I would. Your Mom may have told you about all the extremely nice comments about Grandma at the nursing home's memorial service. She has left, apparently, a very big void over there.
She was a wonderful woman and, as much as I hated seeing her in pain for the last several years of her life, I'm also glad we were all able to have that much more time with her.
Pete, thanks for your kind words. We all appreciate it.
Jeff, actually, if you need to "edit" something, you can always delete your post by clicking on the trash can, and then just rewrite it. Or what you did this time was fine.
Larry, your life has obviously changed most of all in the past couple of weeks, since you were with her pretty much every day. You stepped up to the plate in the last few years of her life, and I know she loved you for it. I know Mom and Dad did the same, but you were right there, literally, in her vicinity, and I know it occupied a lot of your time during your very own "golden years." To answer your question, I would venture to guess that pic was taken sometime in the early 00's. Just judging from the age that Sabra appears to be.
It makes me very glad that my children had so long with Grandma; not everyone gets to know their great-grandparents that well. And it means the world to me that I got to know her for so long, too.
Mark, I don't have a pic of Grandma handy in the computer, so I think I'm going link to yours when I do my blog post (probably later tonight). Hope that's okay.

Are there are many, many more great quotes as well. We will definitely miss her. Nice tribute Mark. Thanks for the words, Pete.
"And", not "Are". Wish you could edit these comments dang it...

I miss her more than I can tell.

We miss her, too. Terribly. Thank you, Mark & Pete.
