Ha! All of this rings true.
When Abby was three or four, she used to talk to the man who lived in her closet. She called him "Uncle Henry" and she said he was very friendly and took care of her at night. We'd hear her up there talking and singing to him. Then one day, at mom's house, we were going through a photo album and she saw a picture of Grandpa Hood and, before we could tell her who it was, she said, "Hey! That's Uncle Henry!"
Kids are weird. But if I were you, I'd check to see if the blanket's name is 'Uncle Henry'--that's apparently the alias Grandpa is using now.
Frasier
Jeez Matt, that's kinda creepy.
Now, talking to a blanket is just plain weird.
I love it... especially if Grandpa is still using that alias.
You think that's wierd? Sometimes, way into the wee hours of the morning, I find myself talking to a bottle of Guinness Extra Stout.
