Another Shameless (Babyproof) Plug

This past weekend, Lisa's parents came out from St. Louis for their bi-weekly Audrey fix. I talked Papa Jim into helping me finish with the babyproofing of the house that I had begun earlier in the week. Thanks to his generous contribution of seven new doorknobs (complete with locks), we can now sleep at night knowing that Audrey can't get into our room and disturb our much-needed slumber.

While on the subject of family, we were happy to receive the news that Lisa's brother, Curt, went out and got himself engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Lauren, over the weekend. Congratulations to them both, and to Mama and Papa Erlinger for having one more stocking to stuff this Christmas.

Some of you may remember Curt from the Big Haul exhibit this past June. He's currently teaching Painting at the CFA Center of Fine Arts in Buffalo. Be sure and check out a link to some of his work. He's become a good friend to me over the years and I wish them the best.

Congratulations, Curt. Marriage is great. My wife and I celebrate our 13th anniversary today, and every year is better than the one before.

Well, except 2 and 10, which really sucked.

Yeah, Matt. Happy anniversary to you and the mrs. Amazingly enough, your anniversary is the only date that I can name at the drop of a hat (in terms of people's anniversaries, that is. Not including my own). Maybe it's because it's the first wedding I was ever a part of. I was hoping to write something up in this forum about it, but lost track of the day. Anyway, hope you had a good one! The story of you and Kathy is one that inspires fairy tales! mwt.
