Screaming Baby
This is a rejected illustration from the children's book I'm currently putting together. I love the piece itself, so I'd still like for it to be presented in some context.
I remember after Abby was born ... she was up one night, screaming like she always did--just one long constant wail. And it had gone on for so long that I remember looking at her and thinking that she was a little tiny pink head wrapped around a huge mouth.
Actually, as she enters her preteen years, I've been having the same thought recently ...

That picture is not, repeat NOT, a likeness of Audrey! That must be why it was rejected. (Good drawing, though!)
